
23ABC recently featured Lamont Auto Repair and the Lamont EV Workforce & Repair Center, a California Jobs First | Kern Coalition Catalyst Project bringing new workforce training opportunities to rural Kern County.
The project will help establish an EV-certified repair facility in Lamont, train and certify an estimated 4–6 local technicians in EV systems, and expand access to electric vehicle repair services for the public. The story highlights how local businesses can help prepare residents for clean-sector jobs while keeping specialized services close to home.
